mundo real s\u00e3o naturalmente representados por redes, isto \u00e9, estruturas compostas por v\u00e9rtices conectados entre si por arestas. Exemplos de tais redes s\u00e3o encontrados em todo local: redes de transmiss\u00e3o e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de energia el\u00e9trica, redes vi\u00e1rias, redes sociais, redes de computadores, redes neuronais, para citar apenas algumas. Em computa\u00e7\u00e3o, as redes complexas s\u00e3o utilizadas em v\u00e1rias linhas de pesquisas, como minera\u00e7\u00e3o de dados, minera\u00e7\u00e3o de textos, processamento de imagens, recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00e3o, reconhecimento de padr\u00f5es, bioinform\u00e1tica, entre outros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conte\u00fado:<\/strong> Neste curso ser\u00e3o apresentados os conceitos b\u00e1sicos de redes complexas, incluindo modelagem de sistemas reais, caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o estrutural e din\u00e2mica destas redes e reconhecimento de padr\u00f5es. Engenheiro da computa\u00e7\u00e3o graduado pela Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), \u00e9 doutor em F\u00edsica Aplicada Computacional pela USP (doutorado direto FAPESP). Possui dois p\u00f3s-doutorados, um na Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (IFSC-USP) e outro na Indiana University (Estados Unidos, Bloomington-IN). Livre-docente pelo Departamento de Ci\u00eancias da Computa\u00e7\u00e3o (SCC-ICMC-USP). \u00c9 editor acad\u00eamico de quatro peri\u00f3dicos internacionais: PLoS ONE, Complexity (Hindawi), PeerJ Computer Science e Frontiers in Physics (Associate Editor). Atua como revisor em peri\u00f3dicos internacionais de impacto, tendo completado revis\u00f5es em mais de 70 peri\u00f3dicos internacionais de impacto nas \u00e1reas de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o, F\u00edsica Computacional e Interdisciplinares. Sua pesquisa realizada no doutorado rendeu o Pr\u00eamio Tese Destaque USP 2014, como melhor tese de doutorado defendida em todos os campi da USP entre 2012 e 2013 na \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancias Exatas. Orientou alunos de doutorado e mestrado, e recebeu em 2015-2016 umas das bolsas de pesquisa fornecidas pelo Google (Google Research Awards in Latin America). Em 2020 seu aluno de doutorado recebeu o Pr\u00eamio CAPES de Teses, como melhor tese desenvolvida no Brasil na \u00e1rea da Ci\u00eancia de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 bolsista de produtividade em pesquisa pelo CNPq. Sua pesquisa rendeu mais de 1000 cita\u00e7\u00f5es no Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics). Nesta mesma base, apresenta um h-index = 26 (Web of Science, Clarivate Analytics, Abr\/2021). Seu trabalho de pesquisa concentra-se no estudo de redes complexas aplicadas ao Processamento de L\u00ednguas Naturais e Cienciometria, al\u00e9m de Machine Learning.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ana Caroline Medeiros Brito<\/b>\u00a0\u00e9 aluna de doutorado no Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Matem\u00e1ticas e de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o, da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (ICMC-USP), na \u00e1rea de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial do Programa P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancias de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o e Matem\u00e1tica Computacional (PPG-CCMC). \u00c9 bacharela em Ci\u00eancias da Computa\u00e7\u00e3o pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) e \u00e9 mestra em Ci\u00eancias tamb\u00e9m pelo PPC-CCMC.
