The ITT concept was created by the University of Bath in the United Kingdom as part of the PhD program of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical Applied Mathematics (EPSRC-SAMBa) and has given rise to a significant number of mathematical theses and research with applications in various fields in industry.
ITT events have been held at the University of Bath for several years and have recently been held in other countries such as Germany (Heidelberg) and Mexico (CIMAT Guanajuato). The Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Bath is an active part of each event, with researchers and students from that institution taking part in them.
SAMBa is an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) centre at the University of Bath, UK.
